For the Real’s 2012 “Surveillance” video series, Peter Ramondetta and Kyle Walker went home for a few days to push the streets of Oklahoma. The result? An inspiring video of them skating on their home turf that will get you hitting the pause and rewind button!
So what’s their backstory?
Well, Peter Ramondetta was born in Kansas in 1982 but relocated to Oklahoma in the 1990s. In the late 1990s, he began building a reputation for being one of the most talented skateboarders in the city. Some even said his talent was on-par with professional skateboarders. He managed to impress Transworld Skateboarding magazine writers, who referred to him as a “local hero”. The other half of the Oklahoma duo is Kyle Walker – born in Moore, Oklahoma in 1994 and currently residing in Long Beach, California. Skateboarding from a young age, it was only a matter of time before Walker would become pro. When he did go professional, he took every opportunity with both hands and hasn’t stopped working since. In 2013 he was signed by Vans and still works with them today (2021). But it was the feature-length video Propeller by Vans that propelled his professional skateboarding career.
